That's... That's my point. I wouldn't call a slab of cultivated meat an animal? The "it" in this case is the... thing directly in the quote I was talking about, the born-dead animal. :I

Animal: Creature that is a single organism, composed of differentiated cells, whether born dead or not, whether cloned or not.

Not-animal: Meat cultivated from an animal but in-vitro. Whether from embryonic stem-cells or a lineage or what-have-you.
