Here is how the story goes

There was a dumb character that the DM liked so he fudged rules in his favor. He nearly got the entire party killed except they didn't... Then he made up stuff about one of the major villains that the DM believed and killed it forever and the entire party.

I wouldn't mind it... if it wasn't a story about how a player single handedly derailed and devolved a game because the DM favored him, and people recognized it.

That Old Man Henderson wasn't a terrible character who derailed the game all because the Storyteller at NO point stepped in or didn't fudge things in his favor... and didn't just outright make things up that the Storyteller allowed.

The fact that he is a Mid-Max character should immediately raise alarms alone.

It follows exactly what I said.

As for bad mood? Naw...

But Old Man Henderson is something I consider to be "better left buried". There are better funny stories that aren't about trolls teaming up with their GMs to ruin the game because "it is funny".

The fact that it happened to me is self-evident just by reading it and understanding the rules of the game. Well unless this is Call of Cthulhu d20, but I think they made it clear it isn't.

The Storyteller was working with Henderson. It is as simple as that really.

As long as you understand that... I have no problem with the story.

Henderson didn't "Bend the rules over his knee" or find loopholes in the game (the one listed in the story... doesn't exist). I mean in your defense, you have to know the system to understand why that is the case... But this is to me the equivalent of hearing a story where someone casts "Dominate Person" on a dragon and has it eat the party in dungeons and dragons.
