Truecrypt was mysteriously declared dead yesterday and nobody seems to know why.   

I use Truecrypt to encrypt my drives, so this is a bit annoying/confusing.  I hope some more info comes out soon.

From my understanding, with the release of Vista, Microsoft started offering its own encryption service called Bitlocker which is highly used in the corporate industry cause it has accessed to a hardware TPM where Truecrypt relied on software encryption. Since Truecrypt relied on software, that means there is a possibly that there are flaws within the code which is backed with the recent phase 1 audit of the open source program https://opencryptoaudit.org/reports/iSec_Final_Open_Crypto_Audit_Project_TrueCrypt_Security_Assessment.pdf

Today, I, Comrade P. and some of our meatspace friends were playing D&D set in his Humanazi-verse. Among other things, I burned down an elven forest retreat using some matches, my leg wrap, and a nasty roll-up, and poured hot chili sauce up a guy's butthole as a joint interrogation and sobering measure. My character still has the sauce bottle in case of further emergencies. One of my teammates bartered a 20-liter jug of moonshine off some villagers, and we're currently trying to hide it from our officers. All is going according to plan.

Well, if you can trundle up to Moscow in short enough order, we just might. Just keep in mind that only I and P speak English, and the rest of us don't.

Also another one of my party mates is an extremely extroverted munchkin who plays a Dragonborn soldier and apparently believes she's invincible. She spent eight whole imperials on booze and hookers (literally) and then spent half an hour bartering for stuff we actually need because she was feeling greedy today. The unfairest thing is, she's currently measuring money in kilograms. It doesn't seem to be diminishing.

Naaaaaah. When online, people tend to react more seriously to long descriptions with all the pesky small details and RP is generally better due to the lack of eye-to-eye contact.

I just haven't met good enough DnD players who made serious RP with eye-to-eye contact. Well, just a few of them maybe. Generally people just want to have fun of it and tend to LOL much more than they were supposed to.

As for joining... I won't start earlier than 11 of June.
