Revising for Physics, I stumbled upon a Christian forum where people were seriously arguing we live on the inner surface of a sphere, with sun in the centre.
Someone call up Merriam-Webster, we have a new definition of "sad".

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

that site is a sad joke

and no it's not a sad joke because of what it's supposed to be, it's a sad joke because of the dissonance between that and what it actually is

i've been there when it actually was decent (haha, decent chans) and honestly, it should have died with the old admin

Ooh boy you're behind on the curve.
They argue that the entire laws of physics are different to accommodate this 'theory', and also that the stars aren't actually big at all, redshift is caused by the glass in the sky... oh yeah there's a layer of glass in the sky 100km up that God put there in the flood. So yeah definite crazy.

IIRC, they think that's some sort of optical illusion.

Would taking a journey around the globe convince such people? Make sure they go directly west (or east) as much as possible.

Or maybe their heads will implode from conflicts in logic, or they'll just make up reason which makes even less sense.

They would still end up in the same place regardless of which way around the Earth curves.

I thought you were talking about flat earth believers when I typed that.

Inconclusive. You could achieve the same circumnavigation on the inside of a sphere.

It was only after I had posted that I realized you weren't talking about flat earth believers.

How do they explain the movement of the sun in the sky then? If we were inside a Dyson sphere (which might be where they got the idea?) the sun wouldn't move at all.

Even if there was a sun embedded off center in the glass sphere whatever, it still wouldn't go below the horizon.

Actually, it's not oxygen that's the problem, it's sugars. The brain consumes quite a lot of those.

Not sure though.
You might be more right than I am, I'm not really sure. Makes sense though.

Technically we get energy from the sugar by oxidizing it. The chemical reaction doesn't care which reagent is deficient; if you don't got enough sugar and enough oxygen to make enough energy to continue working, you don't work. And also die.

Question then is whether or not tissues in the brain can perform anaerobic respiration, and I honestly don't know.

I don't think so. I only thought anaerobic respiration occurred in the muscles.

No, the sun is a portal to heaven (hence the light) that moves slightly around the centre of the universe which is where heaven is.
