Guys, I just had the wierdest daydream/hallucination of my life.

I should probably take this to the dream thread, but let me just say that it was about the adventures of four superheroes:
Joe Woodcutter, who was a Mickey Mouse lumberjack Superman with an axe he used to split people's heads while screaming "Death sentence for criminals!", The Jesus Tortoise, who was a humanoid, well, tortoise with an electric guitar he played Christian Rock on and a knife he used to castrate any boy he saw masturbate, Captain KKK, who was pretty much a confederate Batman, stalking through the night to terrorize the people of colour who weren't bowing down to the White Master Race properly and, finally, Lt. Professor Napalm, who was perpetually angry for some reason and incendiary bombed muslims on his hyperadvanced VTOL plane.

Together, they fought a gypsy Karmen Sandiego lookalike who was actually a transsexual lesbian cultist (and later the avatar) of a cosmic horror who wanted to kill everyone on the planet just because.

Also, apparently my crippling social withdrawal is almost nonexistent when I'm in an unfamiliar setting with people I've never met before, especially when we can commiserate over the lack of any drinks with more than 4-5% alcohol content in the local stores. It took me less than two hours to develop affection for social drinking; apparently being around people who aren't complete asshats is good for my mental health. Both happy and WTF material, I suppose.

I think I finally found out one of the largest flaws with Bioware relationships...

You know the parts of books where the characters realize that the main character is a lot more competent then they realized and that their opinions no matter how seemingly valid at the time were in fact wrong and that they shouldn't take our hero for granted?

Not in a Bioware game... DANG IT STEN! I need to gather allies! DANG IT MORIGAN! I need to do them favors for treasure!

No one really changes because of your actions. Sure they give such change lip service, but they will still chastise you for the same decisions you made earlier.

Even worse is the fact that in the end what wins them over is mostly just pandering to them and giving them gifts.

It melts down a potentially interesting character, and yes some bioware characters are VERY interesting, and rips out their character.

I really like her character but as I said if you want to have the most annoying party in Dragon Age, just make the party Sten and Morrigan and watch them constantly berate you for not being a complete single minded monster.

She might be an interesting character when directly speaking with her... but outside of that she is a complete moron... and no matter WHAT happens in the game she stays the same, a complete and utter static character.
