No, B, it's not that decorations are serious business, it's that your mother is bloody insane.

Suggestion: Next time, hide the scour, and only bring it out when it's to be used. I've honestly had to do this before, because I'm apparently the only person in my family that can make a cleaning sponge last more than a week or two. If left out and unhidden, they're ruined in <2 weeks. Properly hidden and used, and one lasts multiple months in good order.

After something like that happens for the fifth or sixth time, you just have to realize that it's time to take things into own hand and hide the cleaning supplies under the floorboard. Some people cannot handle the power of such things.

But WOW, ohh wow is Risk of Rain's trailer unique

In that it has gameplay footage OF LIES where it outright tries to make the game seem faster paced and explosion filled rather then the slow paced slog (but a fun slog) than it actually is.

Yeah. I'd like a link as well. Because I've found three different trailers for risk of rain. And none of them misrepresent the game like that. In fact, all of them are less action packed then the game actually is.

Because that'd be like basing a religion around the square root of two. Sure, it's got some interesting properties (it's the intersection point of a sine and cosine! Its inverse plus its imaginary inverse has an absolute value of 1!), but these values are mostly the same thing when you think about it and it's not much of an interesting number otherwise.
