But isn't VOTOMS more Real Robot, less Super Robot? IIRC it plays the whole milSF thing pretty straight, or at least as close to hard SF as a series with mechs can get.

Unfortunately, I still can't find my absolute favorite LEGO games: Brickz(or Beltz, I can't remember) and the Technic robotics game where you built little programs for a robot and sent it to explore an alien world.

So I'm writing the rules for a game I want to run, and I've been sharing the concept with my friend, and they told me to "keep it simple."

...I just went back and looked through the ability list I wrote up for just one guy, and I wrote up fifteen separate powers.

...I don't think I quite get the whole "simple" concept. But the problem is that all the powers are useful for completely different things, and I don't want to remove any of them, as it would sort of get rid of a lot of the combos I thought of.

But yeah, I really need to learn how to dumb things down better. Maybe I can combine some of the powers in some way, I don't know.

The puzzle game I was thinking of was called Beltz, and I can't find a working version of that one, but the other game I was thinking of was StormRunner. Unfortunately, while there are versions of the game out there, they seem to require outdated hardware to run. It's kind of the same problem I had with Max Payne on Steam, where it's not compatible with modern systems, but nobody seems to be bothered to make it compatible. It's a shame, really.

I never really got into the huge "Super Mega Giant Robot" ideas.
Like, none of the 80,000 different ones of them.

These ones are special because there are no high school students inside.

So a couple of people I know are into meta-sociology, as applied to our own group. This involves trying to draw conclusions about people from their words and actions as well as asking auestions that may provide interesting insights.

So I asked:
-If you had a body to get rid off, were innocent, but without an alibi, who would you ask for help with getting rid of that body?

This spawned some more questions:
-If a person you knew very well came to your door at 4am, with a body in the trunk of his car, not being guilty, but without a plausible alibi, would you help them get rid of it?
-What if they were guilty?
-What if they were your parents/siblings?

The whole situation became... quite interesting.
