I just found out that the average WPM reading speed is 200. Woah. No wonder it takes most people so long to finish books. I thought that it was much higher than that.

Something, distasteful. But what? All I can think of now are Joe McCarthyisms and the Salem Witch Trials.

That sorta of thing is par the course for mafia no?

Edit: Also I think I misread your post. Mistaking the meaning of everyone having roles to include the generic no power roles. Which on a rereading I am guessing you meant roles with powers. In which case I apologize and the first half of my post is basically meaningless.

She could just be disgusted with how ineffective and stupid the "proving" is.

Glanced through my forum profile and discovered an RTD which I have no memory of starting... and never updated, unsurprisingly. :-\
Kinda disappointing 'cause it seemed like a mildly interesting idea, even if I have no idea WTF I was rambling on about.

Why does so much music have choir sections with no lyrics? I want more Latin chants, darn it! Also the awesome factor would go up by a huge amount.

Heh, I don't think I even had that excuse.
I did realise just now that the reason for some of the weirdness was me using Chaotic Shiny's generators for the plot etc.... still not sure how I ever considered that a good idea. :P

At first I was like, "That doesn't seem so bad."

And then I actually checked the numbers and noticed that's over 8 hours to read 100k words. Those poor, poor souls :(

E:Thanks to the magic of XKCD, I have today learned that, apparently, the first human name we're aware of could be (probably mis)pronounced as "Eerie Whore".

I wonder, if you read four times slower, do you get four times the enjoyment? Or do you get less enjoyment per hour for a total of the same or less enjoyment?

I read pretty fast. I've had a friend who was watching me read be weirded out by how fast I was turning pages. In practice, it means I need to buy way more books/bring more books on trips/etc so it's a mixed blessing I guess.

The fact that it still took me four weeks to finish reading Worm kinda scares me when I start recommending it to friends though.

Worm was updated bi-weekly for over two years. That's bound to be some amount of reading material.

(BTW, the author is writing another serial, it's great as well).
