That was not at all intentional, no ser. I swear that I only wanted to satirize damaging social norms and hint at what may be either a joke which has yet to lose its legs or a genuine shade of desire to be controlled by a powerful, intelligent woman--but only in a purely platonic sense, of course.

I'll let the above stand as a reminder to myself that my sense of humor does improve with the aid of exhaustion and hunger. Or doesn't, I'm not sure. That's probably a call to make over breakfast.

You can tell it's getting good when even I can't really tell the difference between cockeyed humor and candid admissions.

Eh... maybe (hell, probably) going about it the wrong way, but what they're trying to do (assuming the article is actually credible to any degree -- a lot of headlines along these lines massively blow things out of proportion) is break down the -- definitely existent -- pattern where males and females can indulge in the exact same behavior and see the former praised (assertive, a leader, etc.) and the latter condemned (bossy, nag, so forth). Basically, men can be called bossy, but it takes notably more extreme behavior for it to happen. Different thresholds before the acts begin to draw ire, which is where the problem is, especially considering how much emphasis is put on assertive behavior these days.

People other than small children being called bossy? What is this.

I honestly just hang up on them.

Their entire gimmick is forcing you to stay on the line long enough to manipulate you into doing something you wouldn't normally. It is perfectly ok to just hang up.

Well, I don't have a landline, so I only get called when I gave my number to something knowing it would call me back once, so I kinda felt like I should listen at least a few minutes .
