This isn't even "really" sticking religion into history if you've looked at one of these books. They tend to slide into right wing conspiracy theorys.

Religion schools are fine over here in England. I go to one myself, and the only religion vs. science complaint I've had is that their creation vs. evolution bit was slightly creation-sided (although they made a good effort with non-creationism).
