Turns out she was talking to the assistant, her name is phonetically identical to mine :v
But I was very disturbed for a second.

Phonetically identical, not completely identical. My name has a French origin, and I think the female version has English origins, somehow.

I don't exist apparently.

Tried to sign up for healthcare.gov, because it seems I am required to.  It can't verify my identity, and after jumping through half a dozen hoops it is because I haven't applied for a loan or made any payments on a loan in 10 years, so I no longer have a credit profile.

I apparently need to send them a copy of my driver's license to prove I exist, and they say it will take 2-3 weeks.  Enrollment ends in 8 days.

I'm a registered voter, I'm signed up for the draft, I have had a valid drivers license in the state of Florida for 11 years, I have a motor vehicle registered under my name, I have a current bank account, and I've been doing my taxes.  And they sure as hell can find me when a car in front of me runs a red light at a red light camera and they decide to fine me for it.

But I don't exist because I don't like owing people money.  WTF Government.

I don't see the point of the credit system anyway.  The people who don't take out loans are probably one of the best people to give a loan to because they would be more likely to pay the loan off + interest as soon as possible, instead we're branded as deadbeats.

I guess I should have signed up for this sooner, but I wasn't even aware it was a requirement til a week ago, and I can't imagine why they can't just verify through other means.  They have my SSID, that should be all they frikkin need.

Anyway I guess I'm a criminal in 8 days because I don't have a credit score.  Woo, go me.
