I would like to point out, as a native of Kansas, that
a) only Western Kansas is really that flat, and
b) Western Kansas is really an extension of Eastern Colorado.

Besides, to get to the original subject, Ohio (and Michigan, and I believe Indiana - that whole region, really) has plenty of hills. They're just very small hills. Contrast this with the real "Midwest", where it's literally like God/tectonic plate action got bored and just threw in some flat planes (spelling intentional) to get this whole "geography" thing over with.

Speaking of the Midwest, I've noticed that every state in the country that isn't touching an ocean believes it is the easternmost reach of the "Midwest". Michiganians consider it and Indiana to be Midwestern, but Ohio is crossing the line. Ohioans stop at their home state. Iowa says that it's the real Midwest, thus excluding the Great Lakes states.
