So I just got to Lavender Town for the first time in Pokemon Blue. I'd heard about the Lavender Town Tone creepypasta, but there's creepypasta about Mario and Dora the Explorer so I figured it was just typical Internet exaggeration.

My latest WTF: Just went for a walk, and on the way back I noticed something sitting on a bus stop bench.
At first I thought it was a bottle in a clichéd brown paper bag, but on closer inspection it was a hairbrush, wrapped tightly in a plastic shopping bag and with a note saying "FREE HAIR BRUSH. ENJOY! XXX" taped to it. Seemed kind of suspicious, but I couldn't detect anything wrong with it, so eventually I cautiously carried it home.
Seems like a perfectly normal hairbrush, nothing wrong with it aside a bit of normal wear. Its previous owner even seemingly cleaned it up before getting rid of it, as there's a minimal amount of hair stuck to the thing.

The really weird thing? Just this morning, I was getting a couple of things from the supermarket, and picked up a hairbrush to buy.
I ended up realising that it was too expensive for me and the pittance of money I have left at the end of the fortnight, so I reluctantly forwent it and bought a pack of instant noodles instead.

Now, thanks to this mystery hairbrush donor, my hair has just had its first proper combing since a week ago at a friend's place (and that was a one-off thing).

They'd have to be pretty dedicated to know my usual walking route and have somehow known I'd be the first interested person to spot the brush sitting there. Or maybe they were following me at a distance as I walked?

Phone Choice. Hey look at that, the number is right BUT, Optus decided that my house is a blackhole of deadzone that the moment I even step within 10m of the place my Phone loses all connection, so either I have to go play Statue of Liberty outside in the rain or something to get that code...

Only real choice is to try this, "No longer have access" option, seems like its designed to allow you to connect your account to your new email/phone if the old doesn't work, SOUNDS GREAT, how does it work???

I'm a pretty  experienced F:NV player, but I've been  dedicating this playthrough to places I don't normally go, so my WTF of the day is: the Thorn. Seriously, I just killed three Giant Radscorpions in the arena, a reward of 120 caps barely covers my ammo costs!

That's... Actually pretty good.

A bench that creates bums. It provides just the bare minimum needed to survive, while a mental effect slowly kills your will to live. Hair messy? Here's an old hairbrush! Hungry? Someone left part of a bagged lunch under the seat. Kicked out of your apartment because you inexplicably quit your job and can't make rent? The bench is always ever-so-slightly warm, even in the coldest weather. Until one day you lose even the will to stand up and move around, and eventually starve to death slumped on one end of the bench. And the bench moves on to someone new.

The bench will provide.
