EDIT 2: It seems to be well-calibrated. It has correctly picked out Wells, Orwell, and the aforementioned Wallace from single paragraphs of their work. It has a bit more trouble with Tolkien, apparently thinking he's Stephen King.

Also, you might just be feeding it back the same test it trained on - I'd expect it to be able to pick THAT out. Let me dig up some more obscure examples and run it by the machine...

Anyway, I can't get it to identify HP Lovecraft, even throwing several paragraphs in. Seems to be switching between Mark Twain and James Joyce as its guesses for paragraph chunks - when I pasted in the entirety of "The Rats in the Walls", I got back Dan Brown.

Doesn't seem well calibrated at all honestly!
