LEGO Rock Raiders.

The first semi-serious game I got was Pharoah.
That said, the first game I really fell in love with was Neverwinter Nights.

My first PC game was Spore.
I am deeply sorry.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Star Wars (the vector graphics one), Commander Keen, Arkanoid. All on a 286 IBM running DOS.

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 and Worms World Party.
I do not remember which one I played first. They are both incredibly awesome though.

Oh man, JJ2, I love this game and I love its soundtrack so damn hard I actually have both on my disk right now.

First one? Depends, first time I actually played was, I think, Wolfenstein 3D at my uncle's house, and the first time I played on my computer was some platformer, I recall it was 2D game about some creature traversing some kind of lab/factory, and I remember that there were like carts filled with some green goop and you died when you touched those.

No, no, it's for the better. The worse the game you start with, providing it doesn't stop you from every playing another one, the better everything else looks in comparison.

Star Wars (the vector graphics one), Commander Keen, Arkanoid. All on a 286 IBM running DOS.
Thank you ;_;

I was starting to feel older than I am, surrounded by all these barely formed spawn.

... and yeah, the Jazz Jackrabbit games were pretty darn solid.

Spore wasn't bad, it just wasn't what they said it was going to be.

It was indeed a let down in that sense. The original concept looked almost like some sort of legitimate attempt at a wildlife/societal development simulation, and the final product resembles dora the explorer minus the educational value. Still entertaining to dick around with the creative aspects, and you can do a lot therein, we just need EA to quit being such a prude and allow someone to rewrite the entirety of the gameplay mechanics.

Additionally, I must agree that Jazz Jackrabbit 2 was awesome. I also remember enjoying rayman. And Half Life. Loved that game, still do.

LEGO Rock Raiders.
Holy crap I remember that game. I'm probably one of maybe ten people who does.

My first was SimTower, I think, although the first PC game I watched someone play was Doom when I was a few months old. The first I really remember getting into was Age of Empires, though. It was my first "Rated T" game at 9 years old and it was a big deal because my parents wouldn't let me play it up until then. Also, my parents had the old X Files FMV game that I never got to play.

It came into the charity shop I volunteer at a couple of weeks ago. By the time I returned with money, it had gone  :'(

I never got into that game as much as other people I knew did. Then again I've never really had friends to play MMOs with, so I tend to lose interest in them.
