And I haven't checked my laptop's specs in a while. 3Gb RAM, 2.1GHz dual-core processor, and a 32Mb integrated graphics card. Why the hell was this as expensive as it was?

It was a gift, about four years ago, yeah.

The reason it was so expensive was likely because it has a built-in webcam and a built-in microphone. Which I explicitly said I didn't want in a computer. Do you know how terrible an idea a built-in microphone is? I tried Skype once. Once. Every time I pressed a key on the keyboard there was a banging noise on my friend's end. And any noise played through my speakers is picked up too, coming out even louder on the other side.

I would imagine that would end poorly for at least one of our computers. He was wearing headphones at the time, luckily for the speakers. Though he couldn't hear for a few minutes.

Why do I continue to watch Mystery Science Theatre 3000 even though many of the movies are so terrible no amount of witty repartee can make them enjoyable?

Invasion of the Eye Monsters has something like proto Mr Faces in it, no invasion, hideous pyjamas and so many 50's teens making out in cars. There was like 5 cars in one area! Also, giant monster suit zippers, "They just didn't care!".

Monsters A-Go-Go was even more odd, apparently being stitched together from two parts of filming, about 4 years apart with none of the original actors. It ends with the radioactive monster just... disappearing. Everyone goes "Whelp, job done" after a brief stint in the sewers.

...I woke up at 5am in a horrible "wait I need to go post on mafia"-type awakening scenario. I was already lynched though. DAMN THIS GAME I CAN'T EVEN SLEEP. Mafia is the best. I hate this game. Why does it do this.
