this is just pure WTF
I'm throwing money at the screen but nothing's - oh, there's a kickstarter. Well, I'll back this when my paycheck comes around. Even though it's already well over funded.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Browsing through Steam to see if I could find anything on sale that I was interested in when I accidentally stumbled across the Sims 3.

All the DLC put together is about $270, not counting the game itself. Most of the DLCs are the same price as the base game. Some of them are even more than the game itself.

You should extract the hard drive, stick a magnet on it for an hour, stick it in a bucket and set it on fire. [/greatadvice]

I have an old computer I should get rid of. Maybe I'll do this.

Less than 1% of the internet is actually porn, sadly.
But how much of the remaining 99% is actually things that a person could view? I mean, I would suspect that porn makes up much more than 1% of what people visit on the internet.
As I said, about 90% of the tubes are spam.
Is that tube traffic or tube storage?

I took my laptop with me and accidentally left it in the -10 °F weather. Now it's completely fucked.

What the hell do I do? Extract the hard drive and pray to Cthulu that it's not damaged too bad?
Well, probably broke the battery or something. Hard drive should be fine, though other electronics might be damaged too.

So yeah, extract the hard drive, sacrifice to the Deep One, and switch to the metric system.

He's on an exchange. Swedes got Quetzalcoatl.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

Where did the first three volumes take place, that they wound up where they did?

I've gotten the exact same assignment three days in a row now. No idea why, but at least its a relatively uncomplicated one.

China – having been denied membership in the multinational partnership that operates the International Spaaaaaace Station – has managed to forge an increasingly impressive spaaaaaace program largely on its own (NASA, for instance, is banned by Congress from any contact, collaborations or partnerships with China, primarily due to concerns about technology transfer), a fact that has made for some disquieting observations about China's rise to ascendancy.

US Wants To Kill All Dolphins
Where did you get the idea that the US wants to kill dolphins? This just says that dolphins chew on pufferfish.

I'd assume it has something to do with the idea of the War on Drugs.
