It's not a big truck, you see. You can't just dump something on it.
You're not just supposed to dump stuff on a big truck either. There's weight limits and balance and centers of gravity to worry about.

I don't quite understand that chart. My chem teacher is getting maternity leave. Does it mean the government doesn't give maternity leave?

It's about paid maternity leave.
Also I'm only about 3% sure this map is 100% correct :P

Put simply, the US does not guarantee paid maternity leave on a federal level. There are no laws or regulations to that effect. I couldn't say anything about on a state level (though, from what I understand, mostly not, still*) and individual institutions may or may not, but the overarching government provides for no paid maternity leave. Just 12 weeks unpaid, and even then there exists caveats (It doesn't apply to many businesses, and even then only particular employees). If your chem teacher is getting paid leave, it's not the federal government that's caused it, and it's probably not the state, either.

*Actually, looking at it, it looks like about 6 states do provide for paid maternity leave, maxing out at 8 weeks in the best case scenario.

I just made my very first Steam purchase. I have 29 games in my library, 27 were received as gifts and/or gotten for free from promotions.

Even the two games I just bought were technically gifts since I bought them with a steam gift card I got for christmas.

I think I understand why my father calls me stingy.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

How did you even do this, Hulu?

I'm even watching your in-video ads, so they're not part of that total!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Apparently you can't copy-paste Farsi from a PDF.
There's this very interesting paper which is _only_ availible in Farsi, and there's Google Translate, and there's goddamn Adobe Acrobat not letting me copy-paste the interesting bits.

Are you maybe missing a farsi font for your browser or your adobe reader? I can't copy paste text in some scripts for example if I don't have the appropriate fonts installed.
Also (no offense, asking just in case), is it a text pdf or just images like what you posted?

It's text, so the font must be installed; but copypasting that first line for example gives ¶Ë|Ë€Ìa Et (and I can't select the last symbol)
My browser also knows Farsi, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to view the Farsi wikipedia page - or look up Farsi numerals.

Hm. Maybe some kind of copy protection then. Most I've encountered just disable the copy option.
Perhaps try to process it with OCR software that can read farsi? (though most free ones I know aren't even great with english...)
