Basically... my lesbian GF finally forced me to ask out an 'actual girl', specifically a mutual friend that I couldn't bring myself to look at because I thought she was well above my level. And mentioned 'actual girl' just said "I love you" through a doge meme.

And people say my life is desirably straightforward.

Life isn't a high school drama where there are people "above your level." Those that DO think themselves above your level are actually below it.

I once thought my current wife above me, for example.

Of course, if they've spent any time in a cave fighting rats, they're above your level.

Everyone starts at level 1 until they start fighting rats!

Lesbian GF? I'm confused, what?

Say if I'm interpreting well: you're a guy, your GF turns out to be a lesbian, and subsequently tells you to ask out an heterosexual girl out?
Did I get that correctly?

Stranger relationship dynamics have been presented on Bay 12 by far.

Elephants are OP.

A woman I was dating some years ago spontaneously decided she was a lesbian. She told her friend to tell me she was dumping me, which made me very sad indeed...

I intentionally wrote it to sound a bit funny, so that would actually be a decent interpretation based on just the context presented.

We have been really really close friends for a while, gone through a lot of the same shit together, but since it hasn't been truly platonic either, we've been describing it as a typical GF/BF relationship.  Not sure how personal I want to get but basically she made made a half-exception for me.

But due to some circumstances which I am certain kaijyuu knows about but not sure about anyone else, she's trying to push me out into the world. Writing my bucket-list on the fly for me.

Any post I make in the happy thread is looked over...

Maybe because all my posts recently are about food :P

(Don't mean for this to be taken in an offensive tone)

See... I couldn't find anything offensive there.

Did you just say that to the same end as this? Coz if you did, you succeeded :p.

Not sure if this belongs in the wtf or terrified thread.

Had this weird rash last night. Well, sort of a rash at least. Like blotches of skin were elevated and really red. It also felt much warmer than the surrounding skin. It didn't itch or hurt or anything, though. It went from the middle of middle of my torso to about my knees in a stripe on each my left and right side, and also a bit on the inside of my arms. The weirdest part was that it seemed to pop up within a few minutes, and I could visibly see it spreading once I noticed it. It was around midnight, so going to the doctor wasn't really an option, and would also be expensive if it was. So I went to sleep and hoped for the best. I woke up and it was pretty much all gone, though some slightly red spots have persisted throughout the day.

I have no idea what it was, but it seems to have corrected itself, at least for the moment. A doctor visit now would most likely be a fruitless, expensive endeavor. I tried looking it up online before I went to bed, to make sure it wasn't anything super serious, but the symptoms and appearance were too vague to get anything meaningful from it. I don't think I came into contact with anything that would trigger an allergic reaction. I don't even know if I have allergies of any kind.

Does anyone have any sort of idea what this might have been?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urticaria   Also known as 'hives', most likely - can have many causes, do recommend scanning over that fairly long wiki article and trying to pick out which if any match your case.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angioedema  also possible since you said 'not itchy'.

I have hives as an allergic reaction to foods I eat and natural and unnatural chemicals I touch.  For me, while they form they are -seriously- itchy, so itchy it hurts.  I actually choose to rub and scratch them as they form, because that makes them grow faster - and once they stop growing they stop itchy hurting - they're just swollen skin at that point, sensation wise.  And it doesn't seem to make them bigger than they would be if I didn't scratch them - they just get that size more slowly, and it is WAY more uncomfortable for much longer.

Today I learned of the Dust Explosion Pentagon. I did not know such a thing existed. It is as glorious as it was unexpected.
