Nah. Just go look at games like Master of Orion 2. Genocide billions of creatures as you conquer the galaxy? In a single game? Easy.

Although Dwarf Fortress does go into a bit more detail about the horrible things that happen to critters.

Actually, I was talking with an astrophysicist friend and we got on the subject of colliding galaxies. Supposedly, they don't actually do much damage due to their mostly-empty nature. Well, depends on what you mean by destruction.
