Oddly enough I don't really like foils. They are usually kind of ugly.

I've found and caught two shiny Pokémon and they were both super lame.
One was a shiny Raticate in the Kanto postgame in original Silver. The other was a shiny Minun in Sapphire.

Shiny Minun sucks. It's like "OK now get the other one".

When you grow up on Tintin books, especially Secret of the Unicorn/Red Rackham's Treasure, I find the only acceptable emotion to be WHAT THE FUCK when you find out that there was actually a pirate named Rackham.

(>???<)
Mind blown.

Even more WTF-worthy in tintin books is the fact that "destination moon" was written about fifteen years before the first actual moon landing, in 1953.

For those who don't know your space exploration dates by heart, that's 4 years before Sputnik 1.

But yeah, some people could see what way the V-2 and such are heading. After all, Tintin's rocket is little more than an upscaled version of it. It was surprisingly, more accurate then a significant part of modern day space stories.

The rocket doesn't have stages, so it's kinda impossible to rebuild even with today's technology. On the other hand, Professor Calculus was chief engineer, so who knows what he might have invented to make that work.

It's a perfectly buildable rocket actually. Though probably not efficient. Also, the scale is off and all that, but can't blame Herge for that.

It has a traditional chemical engine taking it to just outside the atmosphere, and then it activates a powerful nuclear engine. (Really, a 1 g engine). The entire concept of the rocket really centers around that, as it allows a lightweight rocket, which still manages to get where it needs to go pretty quick.

But it would still need a damn lot of fuel to get outside the atmosphere, I believe it was ~80% of the total mass,

Apparently internet explorer is a magical girl now
On the one hand that is stupid and nothing will convince me to go back to IE.
On the other hand skimpy magical girl outfits.

EDIT: I give the R34 6 hours.

I heard that Google has an actual "Don't be evil" policy, so they're making up by being ridiculously incompetent?

Also, anthropomorphised windows software is nothing new.
Making an animated show about it, on the other hand...
