In Luxembourg that restriction isn't even a thing. I bet that's also the case in other countries, but that's just one example of why we're better.

Late to the party, and lacking a communism pun, but:
I only read the first few pages of this thread, so this might have been mentioned before. Still:
Rousseau (AFAIK) said that most animals have something that makes them especially apt to live where they live. This something could be shells, wings, gills etc.
Humans on the other hand are remarkably fragile: We do not have great strength, speed, or resistance to the environment, and our senses, well, suck. The only thing that is special about humans is our capacity to adapt to various environments and shape the surroundings to our advantage. Humans do not fit their environment, they fit the environment to themselves. This - if we're going to go with the race "clichées" (which is - in my opinion - perfecttly reasonable) could be reflected in the game as well If elves are the hippies and dwarves the smiths, humans should be the farmers and cattle-raisers, mechanics and inventors.
Subdue the earth!
I'd have thought it would be worse... though I detect a spelling mistake, unfixed for twenty-two and a half months. Live and let live...
I'm normally something of a grammar policeman, but where's the spelling mistake here?

Also, on the subject of the English, I realized that while it's true that Americans see all English people as speaking with either Cockney or RP accents, they also seem to believe in four fundamental American accents: Texas/redneck, Boston/New York, Midwestern, and Californian. In terms of ratios to the population, the English have it good. Canadians get one accent (eh, aboot) but compared to the Canadian population they're better off than America or England.

That said, I challenge anyone here to listen to this and try to make out what dis mannie is saying here. I've lived in this country all of my life and I can only make out 60% - 70%.

huh.

the internet and its various accents must have taught me a lot. this guy isn't even close to not being intelligible.

"Whit ah hae here"
"An' ah hae a rit y'under, ah guess ye cuid ca' 'at... fer da panel tae gae inting".
"An as ye kin see ah'm haein tae cut yin awa"

I've also got one of a guy who even I can't make out 1 word of what he's saying but the video is badly put together, it's a bit impractical to show you but I'll show you on request.

Hrmm. I dunno if it was the video or something else, but I understood him pretty well.

I'm American and I could understand most of what he was saying in the first half of the video, but the last part was just unintelligible.

His English sounds less like English than Russian.

It is meant to be close to ancient Norse.

You can understand it much better when it's written down.

This is basically what would happen though if Scandinavians forgot their languages and only spoke English. And... well, spent a lot of time around Scots. Their original language was something called Norn, now an extinct language. The only example that remains can be viewed here, a corrupt part of a half forgotten song:

I just pulled off the biggest motherfucking tick I have ever seen off of my dog. The sonofabitch sank when I dropped it in the tank. I have never seen a tick heavy enough to sink like that before. It was ready to pop.

But the question is why did you not pop it?

The answer is that I didn't want my fingers to be covered in the insides of a tick.

No, no, no, why would you use your fingers like a barbarian? Wrap it in a tissue and stamp on it with great force, or hit it with a hard-backed book. Drowning it is slow and horrible, popping it with your fingers is agonizing, dirty and generally inconceivable. A quick strike would end it all.
