My toenails are apparently like unto knives in sharpness. I keep somehow managing to inflict bleeding wounds on my feet via passing toenail. It's somewhat disconcerting. And a little painful. Perhaps slightly unhygienic, too.

And, like. Cutting them or whatever tends to make it worse for a period of time. S'uncanny. Why must uppity hair follicles* be so good at tearing flesh?

*Or... whatever the hell that was. There's some kind of relation. I forget exactly what.

I didn't notice this when I was charging my mp3 this morning, but most of SoundSense for Dwarf Fortress had synced itself in.

It's pretty jarring, going from a Modest Mouse song to the sounds of a man being ripped limb from limb.

Even worse, sometimes several sound effects would play in a row, painting a mini story about Dwarf Fortress.

The longest one started with an exclamation that a dwarf had gone berserk, then some tantrum yelling, combat crashes and bones breaking, vomiting and retching, then a death scream, an exclamation that a mandate has ended, and maniacal laughter.

I don't think I will ever escape this game.
