Tried to sign up for Wizards.com (Wizards of the Coast)...
Accidently clicked signup too soon when it was asking for age, not it thinks that I am only 4months old and if I want to finish signing up I have to fill out a parent consent form due to the account being considered a child. If I want to fix it. I need to call them... T_T

Mainstream news is now reporting about the North Carolina broken arrow incident. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1961_Goldsboro_B-52_crash
...
It's been on wikipedia for years.

Why the hell did I try to read the comments on the NBC News article? I mean, it's on a seperate page, like that was supposed to be a warning not to do that and everything.

I've known about the near-destruction of Goldsboro for a long time as well. Must not be much news right now.

I wonder what the consequences would've been if the weapon actually went off.

I'm not sure it might punch so large a hole. Ok, it releases approximately the same energy as used to form the Berringer Crater, but it isn't focused as much.

Besides, I was aiming for long term political consequences, not short term consequences.

I get the feeling that the anti-nuclear movement would have had a lot more success.

I got a 9/10 but I'm pretty sure the test is wrong instead of me for the one I "missed."

Quote
Premises:
Whenever Drug Y is administered, the patient gets better.
Whenever Drug Y is not administered, the patient does not get better.

Conclusion:
Drug Y causes the patient to get better.

Supposed correct answer:
False.

I believe it is true. The test is claiming I'm using a correlation = causation fallacy, but I'm not given the wording of the premises. If we assume the premises are 100% true, then in no situation can the patient get better without taking the drug. And in every situation the drug is taken, the patient gets better. This means without a doubt that the drug causes them to get better, even if it's indirectly so as a catalyst for something else.

Inductive reasoning, bitches. It works.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Perhaps it was not the drug, but the way it was administered to the patient?

In that case the Second Premise is Wrong. After all, if you administered Drug X using the same method, then he would get better => False Premise.

Besides, even if it's a correlation => causation fallacy, the answer would be neither, rather than False. There simply isn't enough information.

Logic test.

I got 9/10.  Last question I got wrong.
The last question was very poorly worded. The conclusion could be parsed either as "Browntown is closer to Jonesborough than Smithville is." or "Browntown is closer to Jonesborough than it is to Smithville." When your logical puzzles rely on unclear language to lead people to incorrect asnwers, they aren't very good. :x
