Canada is larger than the US, though less inhabited. There also wouldn't be much reason for there to be a separation between Canada and the US as per OTL.

I was referring to a "North America" that remained under British control, so that would include both the US and Canada, hence a larger state. I am aware that Canada is the second largest country on Earth.

The Spanish territories are another matter, but I could see them eventually ending up in conflict with British North America.

They most likely would. If Spain remained tied to France during the Napoleonic Wars, for instance, that could lead to a conflict.

As I recall, France actually did that, and Quebec is very French, so I'm not exactly surprised.

Yeah but Quebec is very archaic when it comes to it and France.

While the English speaking part of Canada kept close ties with the Crown... Quebec was basically all but abandoned.

Which the Quebecois have never, ever gotten over.

What was the line? "No great harm if they fall" or something? I seem to remember that being at least partly directed at all the Highlanders that had settled in the area that became known as Quebec that fell to the French. General Wolfe did not give a flying fuck about them.

Or perhaps I am off on a tangent, lost in another realm of history only really relevant to me in this particular discussion. I think that is the case.

Which the Quebecois have never, ever gotten over.

They have, simply by the fact that Quebec don't care about France at all.

It was actually one of the reasons why Quebec didn't want to enter the world wars (or rather they didn't want the draft), because they didn't care about France.

Though there was rather a favourable response when de Gaulle said "vive le Quebec libre".

Anybody want to watch absurd films about human sexuality from the 60s?

Or perhaps you would prefer the parody edit?

Not Safe For Work, of course. Safe enough for Youtube, at least.

Mind you, this was originally made by extreme puritans in the 60's.

And this is truly hilarious. This guy is just going on and on about "cults" and how pornography makes people into Gay Communist Infiltrators.

So apparently novels based on video games go back to at least the early 90s. Was organizing the 'free-for-the-taking' stuff in the local library's lobby/foyer, and found one based on Wing Commander. Was both confusing and amusing.
All the way back to the NES days at least. I've processed novels based on Bionic Commando[/] and Castlevania.

Those were from the same series.
I am astounded that you knew that. I didn't mention it because the obscurity made mentioning it seem pointless.
