I found a CD left behind by my old roommate when she moved out last year while I was cleaning. It doesn't look homemade, but fucked if I know what it is. The title on the computer is "T-7000 多媒体", which as far as Google can tell me is "T-7000 Multimedia", and I can't read the title on the disc itself on account of not knowing a damn thing about Chinese. It's filled with file extensions my computer can't recognize (and which Google tells me are things like accounting spreadsheets or N64 roms), black and white photos of various random things, like a casino labeled Nevada060.bmp, and file names that are sometimes English, sometimes Chinese, and not significantly enlightening. When I initially inserted the CD, Windows Media Player started displaying pages from The Andromeda Strain before crashing.
My best guess is it's supposed to be a primer for Western culture or something.
Mysterious file storage devices being found by people on Bay12? Two in a month? Coincidence?
Of course not.
There's a big scheme going on. Some force somewhere is trying to send either us, the community as a while; an individual member of the forum; or Tarn and Zach. The second is dubious because they could just get the full message themselves. Tarn and Zach has a similar problem, but they might be more likely to take something seriously if their entire community is also onto it. That also includes the entire community though. So, I think that it being a message to Bay12 as a while is most likely.
What the message is is more mysterious. Nic Cage and the Andromeda Strain...
