Watched a video of this whole "VMA Miley Cyrus performance" thing that's been going around after hearing people gossiping about it at school and stuff. Heads up, probably NSFW, looks like a strip dance full of innuendo.

That performance literally gave me cancer. My eyes and ears have been totally replaced with tumors. Literally.

On a more serious and not sarcastic comment about it, the music sucked, man. The whole thing was bad, but that music was just utterly awful. I wouldn't even use it for torture, that would just be cruel to the victim.

So, yeah, WTF of the day.

I have seen it, and its cringeworthy. Someone has told her to perform like that, and not knowing any better she has obliged. It was aiming for sexy, and instead just comes over as awkward, like she doenst really know what she is doing or what she wasnt to seem like.

Some person uploaded the following poem, also translated into good Korean It's apparently by Thomas Carlyle, but...

1. Thomas apparently only wrote three poems, Fortuna, <> Buno, and Today. Or if he did write To Love today, it's in some obscure book that the great trawling net of the Internet missed.
2. The poem is obviously translated by either a machine or someone illiterate in English. Ssotara? Daehdara? Sounds suspiciously like Korean words.
3. The english version of said poem has little literature appeal/worth, at least to me. Awkward flow, ccan'ttell what the heck the author wants to say.

Can anyone verify if I'm correct in suspecting that one of the following happened?

1. Someone took a Korean poem, translated it into English and applied Carlyle's name to it
2. Someone misattributed the poem to Carlyle, found a korean version and machined it into English to make it look legitimate.
3. I'm actually wrong and the poem is the poor product of double translation(eng->kor->eng). It was actually written by Carlyle in this version of reality.

The Korean version smells,well, Korean to me, in its phrasing and choice of words. Might be my bias though..
