I've got $12.00 I can maybe spend on games on either Steam or Good Old Games, and yet after looking through both sites there is absolutely nothing that I want on either site that I don't have already or haven't already played to death. I don't even want the stuff on my Steam wishlist.

No, what I want is socks and underwear. I'd do anything for a ride to Walmart, Target or Fallas right about now just so I could get some new socks and new underwear. And I call myself a gamer.

I don't know how I feel about this. All at once, I'm filled with sadness for everybody involved (including the puppy), and tremendous amusement at the absurdity of the whole thing.

A vending machine sold me a bottle of frozen water.

Tiny community college in the desert, 'Copper Mountain Campus'.  One summer semester I was there, and went to the vending machine, looked over the options.  Hot chocolate was on offer, so I picked that.

Down drops an empty cup into the dispenser.  Down drops the mix into the cup, and I'm watching close because I grew up in the desert, and we just don't have vending machines that mix stuff when you order it.  This is fancy to me.  I notice that the mix doesn't really look like chocolate, but I can't get my head at an angle to see down into the cup better.

Down drops hot water into the cup.  Up floats about a hundred fire ants, struggling and rapidly dying in the hot water.  I guess there's a reason why the desert area didn't have many vending machines of that type - ants had apparently gotten into the machine and eaten most of the mix, maybe recently as they were still there to get dropped into my cup.
