I just kind of realized a contradiction in logic in something someone once said to me.

Ok so my Bro says that the reason why Critics who have more experience, basically the ones who are paid to review cuisine from around the world, are more valid then a critic who eats very few foods is because they know how things are made.

Yet the thing is that the critics he is referring to (usually high-end critics) tend to be the sort of ones who dislike everything that isn't high class dining.

Meaning that if you want to know what snack foods to buy, they are useless. If you want to know what discount fish to buy for cheap entrees they are useless... and for anything that isn't "A chef made it" they are useless.

Kind of interesting how their opinion is considered more valid when what they like are things you can eat only extremely occasionally... Yet the person who has similar taste buds to the reader is considered the less valid one.

It is almost like the reason those critics get popular is because the reader goes "Well I want the be fancy pantsy too, so lets see what their opinions are so I can copy them"

Which is hilariously the opposite of game reviews where people go: "Now to read this review to see if it shares my opinion on this game... What it doesn't? HACK REVIEW!"

Well, the thing with game reviews is that even negative reactions are good. Since most game reviews are online now, the fact that someone's on your website means that you're still getting ad revenue from them (Discounting Adblock et al, of course).

At the end I'm about to get the final reward from Hermaus Mora, then my roleplaying kicks in.  Instead of taking the reward, I jump over the edge, die terribly... then appear in the real world as if nothing happened.  I talk with what's-her-face and apparently... the game is meant to go on, but it seems you weren't meant to have a choice at the end?  Or something?

It seemed like one of those "now that you've slain the bad guy, you get to take his power and become more evil than him" moments.  The only solution was to jump off the edge.  It made sense to me... o_o
edit: i reloaded a save, and honestly the reward doesn't seem worth it... o_O  I built my character pretty much as I wanted him to, so no need to reset perks anywhere.
