i'm this close from asking a random person on the forums if i can crash on their couch for nobody knows how long, i can bring my own couch if needed

I'm always open to couch crashers. Except my aunt, she lost that privilege when she rearranged my furniture without asking.

some people simply do not accept the fact that couches do not come with nsa uplinks

S'somewhat wtf, somewhat sad, but... goddamn. Laziest thing I've done in a long bloody time.

House owners' are spending the night, so have to give up the bed. Bed's bedding honestly needs washing, but circumstances made that somewhat unwise for earlier today, and there's not really time to do fix it before they get here.

So. So I turned the bedding 180 degrees. So the part I'd been sitting on for a while now is at the foot of the bed.

Some of my Hearts of Iron games just absolutely take a shit on history. One of my favorites led up to North Ireland becoming a puppet nation of Japan (me) and Japan leading this massive d-day invasion of German Controlled France from Japanese controlled England, and i have no idea what led to that.

Yes it truly is a wonderful season isn't it? Although i get birds, annoying gangstas outside all night, and it's too damn hot in here. Still could be worse though.

Summer is one of those things what illustrate why the Soviet Russia joke still persisted.

Well to be fair the gangsters haven't tried to mug me. But they do get annoying when they're listening to music loudly at 12:30 A.M. i also wear a Kevlar vest purely because i like to wear it so they might think I'm insane for walking around in the summertime wearing a 30-40 lb vest.

Funny if you realize that the book was advocating the government style in question, and the director of the movie went "Fuck it, I'm not doing a pro-war movie." and completely changed the tone of the story.

What would give you that impression?

Apart from the numerous references to the Nazis, particularly in costumes, live executions, soldiers handing out guns and bullets to children, mandatory classes where the teacher tells you about how democracy failed and war veterans overthrew the government and created a society where you only get the right to vote if you serve in the military, the media under reporting the massive casualties they suffer, the war against the bugs being clearly an expansionistic thing, destroying one of their own cities with an asteroid to incite military fervor (because there is no way that the bugs, no matter how smart, could shoot an asteroid out of orbit in their own star system halfway across the galaxy with enough accuracy to hit Earth), child soldiers, trying to Zerg rush the Zerg equivalents, not much really.

No it's not. The original is awesome, and there's a special place in hell for everyone who worked on any of the sequels.
