I googled myself just now, and almost none of those people are me. How hilarious. In fact even the top result isn't me.

I've found the need to set monthly budgets for myself for luxury foods, video games and certain audiovisual materials. Not maximum budgets, which would be normal. No, I've found myself much happier if I require myself to spend a certain amount on such things each month. Simply put, if I don't force it, I spend nothing on such things, and wind up spending the entire month wishing that I had gone to that restaurant, or bought that game, or similar. I decided long ago that it's better to regret doing something than not doing it (with certain severe ethical exceptions), but I've found myself to be extremely miserly.

Oddly, theatrical movies seem to be the single exception to this. While I almost never go to the actual theater (as I prefer the comfort, convenience, and alcohol of a living room), I think little of renting the latest movie that interests me, or even buying it outright.

I just figured you were a fan of Dungeon Crawl.

Prolly mentioned this before but my username/interweb alias resulted from the brainstorming of a fittingly random name to replace my first crummy xbawks live gamertag.

It was too easy to just use it everywhere, and it stuck. Space Cat was derived from several factors, one (and probably the biggest) probably being the unconscious memories of one of many make-believe games I played with my friends as a kid.  We imagined we were cats in space, go figure. it was all retro and spaceman spiff like, with robots and cheesy sci-fi and errything.

Plus, space is awesome, man. Cats are also pretty cool.

Put two and two together and tack on the "Mr" tag for the sake of randomness and it was brilliant. Many times I heard people on Xbox commenting on how I had the best gamertag ever. From there I just kept using it. I'm kinda tired of the Mr tag, admittedly, but then it'd be just "Space Cat" and there's already tons upon tons of stuff on the internet of that, with no relation to me whatsoever.
