It is what I call the Troll Sand Trap

Basically it shuts down the thread by getting other people to derail and troll it.

Basically bogging people down without allowing the thread to progress.

So whenever the Topic creator calls them out on the obvious derail, the people who don't see what is actually is going on will call the topic creator out, which IS why it is a "Trap" because the secret is that there is no way out of it once it has successfully been enacted.

Since if you do nothing your thread is hopelessly derailed. If you try to put it back on track you will just hopelessly derail it.

The thing is Sirus, it doesn't matter because the thread was hopelessly derailed no matter what the topic creator said.

That Shut up was basically the internet equivalent of a death wail and frankly she (or he) had every right to be that angry given how, in general, the topic went.

So yeah Shut up was quite appropriate as a last word, and I am rather prudish when it comes to swearing.

Plus it was also a lot less rude then the Troll Sand Trap

Yet it wasn't that we could talk about Furries either. No one was offended by the issue itself was that the casual trolling shut the thread down. The thread being targeted because people took it seriously.

I am very spiteful, if a thread was closed down because people got into very real arguments and that is why it can never happen... Fine.

If it is because people just wanted to annoy some people and bog down the conversation so it didn't happen because it annoyed some people. That isn't a non-topic.

Yea pretty much.
It is like you know how when Vector decided to leave for a while there was a very long thread about it with people crying their hearts out, and when some other members leave nobody even notices? People have in the past gotten very irate about how we idolize some members.

Although to be fair it isn't their fault. I'm sure Vector didn't set out to gain a cult following.
