Ah ok I only saw it after they updated it. It got traced to a Swedish site similar to "The Onion" so it's debunked.

Pretty much everyone is running the hornet thing, including ABC radio in the 'States. Maybe ABC and the Metro get their news from the same sources?

Am I the only one who read the Metro article fully? It plainly states the entire thing was a false non-story.

Dozens of media outlets are running the Bear story btw, includding Huffington Post, ABC News (America) etc.

I don't know whether the Metro is good or bad journalism, but the two stories linked here check out (the first one is them debunking the hornet story, and the 2nd one is them running the same thing as all the American networks).

Ninja'd by kaijyuu, but yeah....the Metro changed their story in just the last hour or so compared to what was run earlier.

Nice. Run a viral story, then try to stealth-change it to "Wow, look at all these retard news outlets that got trolled by a viral story! Glad we're not that stupid, haha...ha...ha. Hey, look! A guy facepunching a bear!" *runs away*

This version of the Bear story is 1000% more WTF because it's clear English isn't the writer or editor's first language. Read this closely, it's frikkin' hilarious.

EDIT: WTF? Does this paper use Google Translate to get the news into their language, then write the article and use google again to publish it back into English? Certainly seems that way:

That reads like something that was run through google translator a few times.

well which song was it? it may seem appropriate depending on the song.

Gangster Trippin by Fatboy Slim.
It's still not appropriate. Explosions would be appropriate, but flopping bodies are just... weird.

The article actually says the whole thing started as a fictional account on a Swedish satirical website, but went viral as "real news". So only nowhere at all.

Apparently the SAT has been cancelled in South Korea due to cheating. The entire nation.
So how are you supposed to get into college?
By reforming the education system to the extent that the SAT administration will allow it again. They're essentially holding the educational system hostage, which is an even more powerful act in South Korea specifically.
Nope.
The SAT is worthless in Korea. It's for all the people who want to go to college in the US. We have our own education system, y'know :p The Seuneung test is the SAT of Korea.

Though that's quite a lot of collateral damage. If this continues Korea might have to do a China and send everyone who wants to take the SAT to Japan.

Edit; I just noticed how long ago that quote was made...
There's two college admissions tests (ACT and SAT) that US colleges and universities use (although not all accept both, and the more snobbish (not necessarily better) ones tend to stick with SAT). Is the ACT available in SK? If so, that might reduce the problem somewhat.

Kickstarter's fashion section.

I can buy nice jeans on Kickstarter now. I'm not really sure how I feel about this.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
