I heard screaming two doors down earlier today. My mom, a bit later, came down and told me that the neighbors two doors down had (she had gleaned from the screaming) accidentally locked their dogs in the car after a walk and found them dead at the time.

This isn't what made me WTF so much as what happened just now. I was driving my (very drunk) parents back from an outdoor pork n' booze thing when, as we were passing the house, she rolled down the window and yelled "your dogs died". I immediately slammed the gas and really hoped they didn't hear.

Jesus, those poor dogs. How do you leave your dogs in your car AT HOME?

I don't understand how Scooby Doo is still successful.  I don't understand how it ever was successful, actually, but that they're still making new stuff is just beyond my comprehension.

Ditto here. I found that series dull as hell.

When I was a kid I found it boring.  But I also spent my time as a kid watching Discovery and the Military Channel, and thought that I was too old for those shows when I was below the age of their intended audience.

I can see how it can be popular in it's formulaic nature. I personally didn't really like it not so much for the cartoon itself but because of Hanna Barbara's cost cutting methods when it came to the animation in some of their cartoons.

Aww, but Scooby Doo is awesome! The original series and Mystery Incorporated, anyway; the original for young kids and/or camp, and Mystery Incorporated for actually being rather competent in its own right.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I thought the only good episodes were the ones where the got stuck in a video game vs a virus, the movie with the zombies, and some of the absolute newer ones.

When I was in primary everyone else drew pictures of what they saw on the TV one day. I drew what I watched and all the teachers were like wtf O-o
