So let's review, shall we?

The new process for gay youth would be:

1.) Join the boyscouts;

2.) Rank up;

3.) Reach Eagle Scout;

4.) Reach 18 years of age;

5.) Apply for Leadership;

6.) Get kicked out....

I especially like this:

Honestly it sounds rather similar to the way that the desegregation of the U.S. military happened. The paradigm shifts from a complete ban on participation by the out-group to the allowance of out-group members in the rank & file, and eventually to full equality of potential. Obviously not a perfect metaphor, as it's rather difficult to be a closet African American. It's a crack, now all we need is a wedge. Of course, it's the Boy Scouts, so we'll probably start seeing openly GLBT leaders sometime around the 2100s.

Truean's entire post is about the Boy Scouts. My post, in response to his, is also about the Boy Scouts. There's this little thing called "context". If a couple people are talking about a sci-fi game and one finishes their post by saying, "I wish our colony on the third planet of the Procyon system was larger.", you don't reasonable respond to that by saying, "What are you talking about? We don't even have FTL technology!"

An awesome WTF.  Back in april fools the devs for Guild Wars 2 made a really retro commercial for a large scale minigame they were putting in the game.

Note the game the kid is playing on the TV before the big cat dude in armor comes in.  Those were just some random sprites made to look like a game in post.

One of the devs decided to make it into an actual game in their spare time and put it on their website.

Also, that's hard? But you have unlimited lives, respawn points that heal you all over the place, and powerups to boost your health. And the spikes don't instantly kill you! Clearly you haven't played much NES.

It was poorly optimized (I guess, anyway) enough to be basically non-functional on a computer that runs Dawn of War 2 decently enough. When you can barely control the character and hit detection appears to have taken a vacation for everything but you, things become (un)surprisingly difficult.

Difficult enough I made it to the turtle and promptly quit. Don't know what the blazes that thing was coded in but it bloody well didn't agree with this computer
