At first it was what I thought it was.  Then I clicked on the link, and thought that since you said it's not what I thought it was, that it might be about some new carbon dating technqique.  Then I remembered what thread it is. 
Also, that video hurt.  I stopped watching after the first minute or two.

I keep seeing this Point and Click adventure game... and it by far doesn't understand the point and appeal of the genre... In fact it completely misses the point

I am aware that point and clicks have puzzles but it was always the quality of the puzzles and their interrelation to the story. Kings Quest 6 probably didn't have 50 puzzles but it was the perfection of the series formula.

What makes me more confused is... Did people really fall for that line?

If anything advertising the fact that the game has a lot of puzzles gives the impression that most of them are pointless.

Heck most point and click adventure game reviews are done with a strategy guide in front of them (which once again I am against... You cannot judge a point and click without also discussing what you have to go through WITHOUT getting the answers from somewhere else) so why would they think that people even care about puzzles?

The half-human part is spot on. I have to say, this interpretation of Rei as raised by Yui manages to be even more screwed up than canon Rei at times. Somehow.
