Oh god my teacher is crazy.

He seems to assume that everyone in the class is a statistics expert. We need to write a program that calculates standard deviation. He gave us an equation to use, but no indication of which variables go where or what operations to use on them. Standard deviation is not mentioned in the textbook even once. And when I looked up standard deviation on the Google, I'm getting a dozen different equations and none of them match what he gave us.

Why don't you go to your teacher and ask him for a quick run down on what exactly you are having trouble with?
You have checked your text book (And seriously, I wouldn't expect you to find your answers in a software textbook) and gone online, pretty good first and second steps, but you are still having trouble. Go to your teacher, they are there to help.

I'll try, but it hasn't worked before. His advice usually consists of "you're doing this wrong, go fix it".

Often I am told to "Grow up" whenever I take something someone says the wrong way and hold it against them... that I should "Grow up".

And yet whenever I see how adults are expected to handle things it is often through lies, avoidance, and violence.

Then whenever I see how Children are expected to handle the same situation it is through conversation, introspection, and understanding.

Why is it that childishness is often much more adult then adult?

It makes it so hard to watch adult mediums (beyond general terrible pacing) because frankly they aren't well rounded people, they are terrible people lacking maturity.

Assuming you're taking about the Six Day War, probably because it's usually discussed in nauseatingly self-righteous, nationalistic terms and the person has developed an ingrained response. Because I'll be honest, most of the time I hear people talk about it, it is in terms of "rah rah faithful Zionist allies beat down those dirty towelhead commies". Though I can't help but find it ironic that people still discuss Israel as if it's in existential danger, considering that it has won every war it has been involved in (many of which it started) with very little trouble.

Re: genocide specifically... not really. What Israel has done to Palestine and the people thereof is less genocide, more apartheid and mass exile.

I have found that it is simple and easy to find someone who gets more than just a little crazy regarding any concept.
