Oh my fucking god. I just got back from Spring Break and my roommate isn't back until tomorrow, and he's still managed to screw up.

The fridge wasn't all the way plugged in when he left. He had venison in the freezer. Over the past 10 days it has rotted horrifically. I haven't gotten a good look at it because I was sent spiraling and retching when I foolishly opened the freezer to investigate the strange smell. It was like getting punched in the face by Death.

I've aired out the room and reactivated the freezer, so hopefully the bacteria will die and lessen the smell, but I'm giving him hell when he gets back. I can only imagine how we're going to get rid of it. There's at least one chunk, maybe more in there. I'm not going back to check.

S'who got called in for stuff like that in the dorm I was in. Couple microwaves got replaced (not due to something like that, but still) and a fridge. Covered cleaning and crap, too.

As an aside, why was the freezer's plug loose to begin with?  The scenarios of freezer jiggling intrigue me. Normally those things don't get moved much, I'd think.

I won't know for sure until he gets back and I....politely ask.....why, but I'm pretty sure he pulled it out partially while getting up and didn't notice. You see, because he's an idiot, he has the power cable wrapped around his headboard and behind his pillow. This has already resulted in the cable being damaged and making a spectacular spark shower right next to his head when he leaned back on his pillow. It still works despite that.
