People sacrifice to me something far more vital, damning, and generally dumb to sell: emotions. Whether it be love, hate, despair or joy, I enjoy recieving them. They make pretty flashes in the dark.

Earth is but one possibility in a neverending chain of thought, stretching aeons back, sideways, and some directions that don't exist, all the way back to what happened at the beginning. Besides, it's only one planet, and the stars don't necessarily need to be right for me to get out.
Of course I wouldn't be a very competent villain to tell you how I'll escape.

But then, the question arises, why Earth? Why not any other place in the big wide universe. And why not now? Why not in the past? If it's so irrelevant, then why? Your very presence and lack of agency thus far can suggest only one possibility: Earth is significant, and so too is its future. And while it is possible that humanity is irrelevant to this, as far as significant features go intelligent life is one of Earth's few.
