character building opportunities are something I do not associate with Roguelike at all, unless you mean gaining XP / levels.

Gaining levels/skills/whatever intrinsic character property that rises, yes.  Also collecting increasingly powerful loot or gaining access to otherwise special things, like a finding/building a good base in Cataclysm or something.  Character building can take a variety of forms.

But a general roguelike characteristic is exploration as a key component to character building.  It's not an exclusive or universal feature, but it is more common as a prime mover of gameplay in that genre than any other.

Somehow I doubt the usefulness of those questions as a measure of age.

I could have answered about half those questions at the age of Eight, for instance. Then again, I'm pretty sure I saw someone playing Leisure Suit Larry around that age and was grossed out. My parents never had to keep me away from non-pornographic adult material because by the time I was interested in that stuff they knew they could trust me not to get bad ideas from it. Not to mention I held my arm in front of my eyes with every kiss scene in a movie until I was ~14...

Now Porn on the other hand became a different matter once I hit puberty.

I wasn't a normal kid.

I wasn't either. I always knew and understood what sex was (although I was a bit fuzzy on certain details.), even if I found it groess, I accepted that one day I wouldn't.

So. Had to write a few pages of synopsis for a play I'm working on but will never need or want to finish. As an addendum, my professor asked that I append a list of my characters with brief descriptions to it for her convenience. I figure that the simplest way to do that would be to staple the very thing to the back of the synopsis, with a few pen marks from when we looked it over a week or two ago. I get it back marked down because I "didn't follow instructions". When I asked about this, I was told that I was, and I quote, double dipping on my work. For ten lines of character summary attached not for a grade, but to keep the professor from needing to remember what I had already written. Because I didn't ctrl-c ctrl-v it to the front of the synopsis. And that the assignment wasn't about the content or the effort, it was about following instructions. 

Granted, the class is utterly meaningless and uninformative, a survey course requirement that I had overlooked and needed to knock out at some point before I graduate, but I have never met someone that anal-retentive before (Okay, a small lie: I have, on multiple occasions.), particularly over something that was their own fault. I've never contemplated being deliberately spiteful on an evaluation before, but in this case I think I can make an exception while continuing to be completely honest.

Well they're around somewhere. But people are way for friendly, driven, and accepting once you get out of high school, generally speaking of course.
