Because really, I'm about as non-scary as you can get.

Man, I'd like to eat at the Heart Attack Grill just to see what it was like. Just once wouldn't hurt too much. At worst, I'd only be a bit closer to free meals.

That's the point of that sort of restaurant. They really like to play up the "Guilty Pleasure" and "Obscene Indulgence" aspects, knowing full well that they will have few regulars, but their menu, name, and antics will ensure publicity. Places that dish out excessive portions and such as a matter of routine don't really advertise themselves as such.
