Anthro planes are kinda' tame. Japan/the internet's long habit of anthromorphizing military and commercial (fictional and otherwise) hardware is so long running it's basically blasé nowadays.

Anthro plane/pilot slashfics? I remember one memorable 4chan thread that had some quality WTF content.
There was one about a plane having incontinence during takeoff? Point is, the weird can only get weirder.

Also submarines are rounded and ugly.

Don't think the stuff has been certified as food-safe (at least from a quick google), but how about coating your toilet bowl, shower tiles and bathroom sink with the stuff? It would make cleaning much easier and be much more hygenic. That stuff would certainly have enough applications. Hell, if it turns out safe enough to handle, coat books with it and be able to read books in the bath and don't care if they fall in.

hydrophobic coating on the footpaths around pubs so puddles of vomit run right into the gutter ^^ the same with dog poop. I can see town councils spraying this on almost everything.

BTW if it stops spray paint sticking to things (and considering the video of paint equipment coated this seems likely), this could very well end graffiti culture quite quickly as councils around the world become aware of the possibilities, and it's going to be a lot cheaper to coat trains with this stuff than to keep removing graffiti.

At one point, it wasn't feasible to mass-produce aluminum. Times and technology change, so if this stuff really takes off we might see a hell of a lot more stuff like this.

It might be possible or it might not. In any case, I doubt that we see any commercial use before a few years..
