Yes, after some iteration. The first wave of AI Police Bots wouldn't have sophisticated enough protocols to deal with every situation, but after enough learning, they could do a far better job than humans.

They also don't have to kill anybody. If the criminal is shooting at a robot it can just walk up and grab them.

On the downside, they could be hacked or more easily used to repress people through their enhanced capabilities.

As long as they aren't like Cataclysm Secubots we should be moderately okay.

How are those bad?

You have that in cases where the game is installed, but the currently signed in account doesn't own the game. (I've had this happen in cases of shared computers, or transferring someone else's steam folder across the network to save download time, for example. Counter-Strike 1 requires Half-Life 1 to play, so that was installed on your system, but you haven't purchased it, so you can't play it.

I don't get warts... 
Must be lucky and not be susceptible to the virus, or not have cause it. Note to self: Don't go over seas, they have warts virus.
