Glee is a nice emotion. It's... something else, these days?

I feel glee when others suffer, if that counts.

Schadenfreude is one of the few ways that I even can feel glee.

Only emotion I feel nowadays.

Responses to that have varied from "I'm an emotional engineer and I know a lot of them, that must be flawed" to "Of course we're emotionless. We're above the petty emotions of others."

That's what makes engineers awesome: The ability to solve problems without emotional bias.

I don't feel dead inside! Of course, the only people I can compare myself to are fellow emotionless engineers.

Of course Computer Engineers are kind and feeling, half of them got into computer engineering thanks to videogames, many games positively reward empathy and kindness directly.  So we carry that training into the rest of our lives.

Now those other engineers, those guys are cold and heartless.  Whoever designs a car in such a way that you have to remove 2 belts and an alternator to change the battery obviously has no soul.
