Yes it is. Most people seem to forget that the human body doesn't die all at once. Your brain is the most oxygen demanding and dies completely within a minute or two of your heart stopping. Most of the bodies organs have high oxygen and nutrient demands and are quiet sensitive so they follow very soon after. Skin cells take a little longer and tend to last several minutes to several hours before dieing. Muscles are very durable and can last from several hours to several days before they too die, they can also move a limited amount without a supply of oxygen or new nutrients. For about a week after you're dead your hair and finger nails will continue growing. This are all things forensics use to date your time of death. Parts of the human body could logical by still technicaly alive and respond to stimuli like normal even after death. Now the human testes are in the list of sensitive organs that die not long after the brain but sperm on the other hand is being generated constantly by them and can survive independantly for up to three days after they have been created.
