Because of alot of things. Simply put, The system favors the entrenched parties. it's not 'voting for a party percentange to be doled out' it's voting for each person individually. Therefore, minority votes have literally no effect unles they change the outcome of a certain district, and a small one at that. Since that never happens, people don't bother, perpetuatign the cycle. it's why republicans hate moving to california or New york, while democrats hate moving to Texas. Your vote simply no longer counts, so why bother?

A good "What the fuck?" moment today was when my mother for some reason bought me yet another pair of pants that fit me. I'm wearing said pants right now.

A bad "What the fuck?" moment would be when my schizophrenic roommate thought someone stole two of his energy drinks and poisioned his canned vegetables that don't appear to have been tampered with, and this person he thinks did it lives in another apartment and has difficulty walking up and down stairs. Luckily I have an eye for detail and can notice tampering, and these cans were about to be wasted by that paranoid fuck.
