Does it apply if you are standing ON the car, or just inside it?  Does it apply if your are moving?  Does it apply if teh whale is dead due to not being in the water?  Can you shoot a whale if you aren't in your car?  Can you use a harpoon instead?  Can you shoot it from a car while on a boat?

Several other states also seem to have laws like this.  Exept most of those laws says that it is "Illegal to shoot any kind of game from a moving vehicle unless the target is a whale".

In my state it's illegal to have sexual relations with a porcupine.

Really the disturbing part was this practice was so common the state legislature felt it necessary to make it a criminal offense. How many porcupines, I wonder, does it take to make a law?

I think a lot of states still have those laws, but they're essentially unenforceable and potentially unconstitutional if brought up.
