You have to remember, too, as I'm seeing firsthand, that the divorce system (courts, laws, et al) is designed to fuck men over as hard as possible, for as much as possible, and for as long as possible.

I'm paying child support to a woman who makes more than me, despite equal (if not a little skewed to me) parenting time.
Ah, I've heard of people screwed over by this before, but I wasn't sure if you were being screwed as well D:

We really need divorce law reform.
I get to file a protest at the beginning of the year, when the law changes.
Here's hoping :(

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Because I have kids?

Custody issues scare me a lot more than child support, though.  It seems pretty easy for a guy to become a minor footnote in his kid's lives.

Speaking as someone who's mother is fighting legal tooth and nail to keep my abusive father as far away as possible, and is losing, I must disagree. Short of murdering your wife, there is little that can keep you permanetly away from them. My mom may barely win in keeping me and my sister from summer long visitation. The rights of the parent, and Parental-alienation syndrome, are powerful legal thoughts.

Gods fuck but TV evangelicals are apparently batshit insane.

They got some hella' balls on 'em, though. Been a while since I heard hypocrisy spat out so earnestly, and fallacies dealt out with so much fervor like so much candy. Not exactly a fallacy, but I heard, I think, three separate Godwins in a less than five minute period. I boggled. I genuinely boggled.

As always, I feel for the actually faithful when it's folks like that presenting their public face :-\

There's a mixture of shame and hilarity when it comes to televangelists. On the one hand, they're so easy to make fun of. On the other, they're getting enough traction to have their own TV show.

So lots of mixed feelings.

Also, Godwins? He talked about Nazis three times?

'Batshit insane' is part of the job description for televangelists.

I prefer the term 'bugfuck insane'. Sounds more appropriate in this context, for some reason.

Brought up Nazis in something like three separate and distinct contexts in about a five minute period, if that. It was almost impressive, in a morbid sort of way.

And the stars are right. Again. For the Nth thousandth time since 0 A.D. And etc., and so forth, and so on. Jesus is apparently an antediluvian nightmare from the beyond the stars, because some of his cultists might as well be beatboxing f'taghn.
