I don't understand how people run out of meal plan money. I didn't do anything to reduce costs and still ended up with a couple hundred dollars left over at the end of the year, while a ton of other people ran out after a month or two every semester.

They are two dollar frozen burgers in a vending machine. They look and smell disgusting, but he loves them. I think he's someone who grew up on low-quality food and came to associate it with being good even though it isn't.

Its easy if you stop and get snacks all the time, go to the starbucks in the library, or the on campus quiznos.

On the other hand, I always went to the cafeteria. And you only have to swipe the card upon entering the cafeteria. So you can find a nice dark corner at 2pm, have big lunch, snack all day from the sandwich bar while playing D&D and drinking fountain soda, then have a big 7pm meal and fill up the 2 liter flask with mountain dew or barqs rootbeer before heading to the dorm. They eventually told me I wasn't allowed to fill my flask with soda during breakfast though, bastards.

I ended up having so much food cash left on my card when I graduated that I went to the snack store and bought a whole basket of candy to give away.

Oh yeah, not drinking coffee probably helped my budget out a ton. I forget most people drink coffee.

I have a whole half of my family who, when I am a guest in their house, will offer me tea. About every half hour. Always tea.
I understand it's a tradition we stole from China and in now a national pride thing, but that doesn't mean I want to drink it all of the time.

I don't like coffee either though, so I can't compare.

Tea is a drink for enjoying a tranquil moment. Coffee is a drink for waking you up and keeping you jittery.

That... decaff tea. Maybe. Tea is caffeinated. Really good tea has as much or more stimulant in it as any coffee you care to compare it to. They're both kinda' there to jack you to the nines and get you spinning, really.
