Crazy mom news from Colombia:

Mum believes her baby has been possessed

A woman claims her new-born baby has been captured by black magic and evil spirits and can already walk. Colombian Ana Feria Santos told local media how her joy of giving birth to a son quickly turned to fear when she noticed ‘several abnormalities’. And she claims neighbours in Lorica, near the Caribbean coast, say he is possessed by a 'malign spirit. Mrs Santos says the boy can walk and stand up, and, as in the cult horror film The Omen, cackles as if he was an adult and has ‘intimidating’ eyes.

“He walks like an adult, sometimes going off and hiding underneath the bed, in a suitcase, in the washing machine or in the fridge,” she told RCN radio. Her neighbours believe the baby produces fire because of burn marks found on his clothes and sofa where he sits. And it has been claimed neighbours have attacked the family household.

However, doctors are not convinced and they have launched an investigation into the possibility of child abuse. The Colombian Family Welfare Institute, the National Police and the Catholic Church have all denied any form of black magic could be involved and a social worker is now looking into the case. The Daily Mail reports a source saying: “Two small burns were found on the palm of the left hand and for that reason a restoration measure was adopted to [safeguard] the family environment.
